Staff Writers are responsible for pitching, writing, and editing satirical news articles. In addition to attending weekly meetings, staff writers are expected to help workshop other articles during table-reads and offer their thoughts on all pitched content. Each staff writer will be assigned to an editing group, where they will work closely with a managing editor to strengthen content and voice.
To be considered as a Staff Writer, please submit five (5) original headlines and one (1) article based off of one of the submitted headlines. Headlines do not have to be UCLA-related; applicants are encouraged to show creative range with their submissions. Look at the ones we’ve posted for examples!
