Report: “Bruin Bear” Kind Of Redundant

WESTWOOD — UCLA scientists discovered Wednesday that the iconic Bruin Bear statue between Ackerman and Wooden was kind of redundantly named. “It turns out the word ‘bruin’ means ‘bear’ in English,” said apparent scientist Gene Block, who had previously only been known across campus as a sex symbol. “That means ‘Bruin Bear’ actually translates to ‘Bear Bear.’ Fucking hell, I can’t believe no one caught this until now.” At press time, Block was found quaking in a corner after a Spanish major explained to him the meaning of “The Los Angeles Angels.”
