Nut Allergy Nothing Compared To Embarrassment Of Complaining At Restaurant

WESTWOOD — During a family night out, it came to the attention of area woman Leslie Simmons that the shame and public humiliation of complaining at a restaurant was nothing compared to the danger of her nut allergy. “I’d rather eat an almond and suffer a rash than let everyone around me know how much of a prissy, nitpicky eater I am,” said Simmons as she began meticulously removing the almonds from her Protein Garden-Burst salad. “No one likes the person who has to call the server back because of a slight inconvenience. I’ll gladly break out in hives if it means preserving the tranquil ambience over dinner.” Simmons was last seen hurrying off to the restroom, hives cream clutched in a reddening hand.
