CLAYTON, MO— For the third time this week, employees at Enterprise Rent-A-Car were dismayed to learn that they would be required to attend a meeting that could easily have been a Zoom call, which in turn could have been an email. “I don’t understand why we have to keep going to these constant meetings, when we could be doing more productive things, like nothing,” complained Maurice Morris, Vice President of Driver Satisfaction and office paper football champion. “Why spend an hour walking all the way to the conference room, only for it to turn out to be some dumb PowerPoint about downsizing or something. I don’t know, I wasn’t really listening.” As of press time, Morris could be heard grumbling that the memo notifying him of his dismissal from the company could have taken the form of a text message.
