MALIBU— UCLA students were starstruck on Tuesday when they saw Westwood’s own Gene Block in the trailer for the highly-anticipated film “Barbie” (2023). “Gene joined the project initially because he really wanted to meet Margot Robbie,” said director Greta Gerwig as she watched Block try to learn how to smile. “But now he’s gotten really into it. He even got plastic surgery to try to match Ken’s smoothness down there as much as possible.” At press time, Block had changed UCLA’s school colors to hot pink and hot pink.
