LOCATION — Collegiate jokesters across the nation were rocked by news that GroupMe has been removed from the L.A. Times’ list of best venues for aspiring stand-up comedians. “If you know me, you know I’m always workshopping. Ever since coming to college, my favorite place to test out my new material has been in my LS7A GroupMe,” stated Brian Butternut, a sixth-year pre-med student who, despite his comedic aspirations, has yet to tell a single in-person joke. “I wouldn’t say I’m bitter, but when an actual helpful response gets more likes than my hilarious quip, I realize I probably just have a more niche sense of humor than most ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.” At press time, Butternut resorted to his pre-med fraternity Slack, where he reminded them that “laughter is the best medicine.”
