Rival Dance Groups Enter “West Side Story”-Esque Feud Over Parking Lot 7

WESTWOOD — Last night, after the Planes and the Rays, two of UCLA’s 10,000 hip-hop dance groups, engaged in a standoff over who had the right to practice in Parking Lot 7, the greasers resolved their conflict the only way they knew how: channeling West Side Story. “Look here, buster, we claimed this parking lot for our audition videos first, so if the other guys want to dance on our turf, they’re cruisin’ for a bruisin’,” said Rays captain Tony Nolastname, rhythmically snapping his fingers and flashing a switchblade comb. “So if you want to pass a message, tell those ankle biters to go mob the Central Ticket Office.” At press time, one member of each team privately confided to the Enabler that they found the other cute, despite their warring groups threatening to tear their love apart.
