INDIANAPOLIS — WZPL radio host Zack N. Cody once again faces an annual question: how early is too early to start playing the Jonestown Tapes daily on FM radio? “I do get complaints around this time of year,” stated Cody, referencing his decision to air the death throes of Jim Jones’ infamous cult to the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area. “I think it’s because it’s so soon after Halloween, and also people are disturbed when they hear the desperate pleas for help from over nine hundred dying members of the Peoples Temple. Personally, I feel like it’s a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.” In response to the criticism, Cody was reportedly considering switching to something a little more tame, like “Jingle Bells,” or a 24/7 loop of the OJ Simpson trial.
