WESTWOOD—In an email sent out to the student body today, Chancellor Gene Block notified the school that he has set aside time to face students in one-on-one basketball. The email stated that Block wishes to play “a mix of students from all skill levels” in order to “address concerns the student body may have about [his] jump shot and man defense.” While this could be an effective way for the Chancellor to interact with students, some are upset that games will only be played to one point. Block did address this in the email, saying that quick games will allow him to “showcase [his] skills to as many students as possible.” The email also noted that Block “regularly participates in pick-up games on the Hill.” The chancellor hopes that this event will help bridge the student body with the school’s administration.
