Stray Cat Wins Heart of Community, Stray Human Does Not

WESTWOOD — A stray cat discovered on Landfair Avenue has won over the community with its scrappy feline charms, while at the same time local law enforcement continues to relocate homeless individuals to lower income areas. “Did you see its little paws?” asked fourth-year student Alyssa Flores before hurriedly walking past an elderly woman who has virtually no access to basic hygiene. “He’s so cute! I love the way his fur is all clumped and dirty. It makes me so sad to think that he’s out here all alone, probably cold and hungry.” Within hours the cat was adopted, while nearly sixty-thousand human beings in Los Angeles remain destitute.
