SAE’s Christmas Lights Almost Impressive Enough to Make You Forget About Those Sexual Assault Allegations

WESTWOOD – In a dazzling display of holiday cheer, UCLA’s chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) recently put up a Christmas decor ensemble that almost made you forget about their long-standing and recurring sexual assault allegations. “Those are really pretty!” you said to yourself as you walked past their lit-up and sprawling white mansion, before remembering that the fraternity was most recently charged on accounts of assault, negligence, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress in an August 2018 court case. “I like the way they spelled out ‘Cal Delta’ in lights,” you continued, “That must have taken hours to do but it looks incredible. They should be on the news or something!” At press time, you realized that the chapter has probably spent more time decorating for Christmas than creating a culture where women feel safe and respected.
