WESTWOOD—A bunch of grad students were spotted in Westwood village early Sunday evening just sort of hanging out, doing their grad student thing. At approximately 8:30 PM, the unidentified group of masters and PhD candidates walked east along Weyburn Ave for several blocks before turning left on Broxton and disappearing into a restaurant far out of the price range of any undergrad. Said eyewitness Katherine Brown: “They had this weird air about them, as if they were steeped in knowledge the average undergrad couldn’t possibly comprehend… I couldn’t make out what they were saying exactly, but by their body language and facial expressions I could tell that they were joking about something… Part of me wants to think that they were just discussing research or something like that, but I can’t shake the feeling that they were making fun of me.” While it is unclear which department they hail from, several bystanders noted that they could’ve sworn they had seen them around the Engineering department at some point while others stated that the grad students looked more like Anthropology majors to them, or something else “more north-campus”. Department heads have yet to release a statement on the incident. ❖
